How do I earn points?

Predict match scores

For every group match in the EC 2024 you have to predict the final score. With every match you can earn 14 points. You will receive 6 points if you predict the correct winner of the match (MW), 4 points for the correct goal difference between the home and the away team (GD), 2 points for the correct amount of goals scored by the home team (GH) and 2 points for the correct amount of goals scored by the away team (GA).

Bonus points group matches

During the group stage it is possible to earn bonus points (BP) when you predict a result of a match that has been predicted by less then 50% of the participants. In case you predict the correct winner of the match (or a draw) that has been predicted by 50% or less than 50% of the participants, but by more than 30% of the participants, you will earn 2 bonus points. If you predict the correct winner of the match (or a draw) that has been predicted by 30% or less than 30% of the participants, but by more than 10% of the participants, you will earn 4 bonus points. And if you predict the correct winner of the match (or a draw) that has been predicted by 10% or less of the participants you will receive 8 bonus points. So to summarize, for a completely correct match score, from which the result has been predicted by 10% or less of the participants, you can earn a maximal amount of 22 points in the group stage.

Examples of earning points

Group standings

Based on the predicted match scores the final group standings are automatically calculated. If required you can change the group standings. With these group standings you can earn a maximum of 120 points. For each team that is correctly predicted in the final group standings you will receive 5 points.

Round of sixteen

In the round of sixteen you can earn (excluding joker points) a maximum of 80 points. For each team that is correctly predicted in the round of sixteen you will receive 5 points.

Quarter finals

In the quarter finals you can earn (excluding joker points) a maximum of 80 points. For each team that is correctly predicted in the quarter finals you will receive 10 points.

Semi finals

In the semi finals you can earn (excluding joker points) a maximum of 80 points. For each team that is correctly predicted in the semi finals you will receive 20 points.

Finale

With the final you can earn (excluding joker points) a maximum of 90 points. For each team that is correctly predicted in the final you will receive 20 points. If you predict the correct winner of the final you will receive additionally 50 bonus points.

Jokers

With the jokers you can earn extra points by predicting the team with best attack, the team with the worst defense and the team with the most cards. With all three jokers you can earn points in every match that one of your joker teams is represented in. Every team will be able to earn points with these jokers at least in all their three group match, but if they progress further in the EC 2024 it is also possible to gain joker points in the round of sixteen, the quarter finals, the semi finals and the final. For every goal scored by the team that you picked with the best attack will earn you 3 joker points. For every goal conceded by the team that you picked with the worst defense will earn you 3 joker points. And for every card the team that you picked receives you will earn 2 joker points.

Extra questions

Divided over three questions there a total of 60 points to be earned with the extra questions. By predicting the amount of goals scored you can earn a maximum of 20 bonus points. With predicting the amount of yellow cards you can earn a maximum of 20 bonus points. And with predicting the amount of red cards a maximum of 20 bonus points can be earned.
